Apple Stores Celebrate 10th Anniversary

It all started 10 years ago in McLean, Virginia. Apple opened its very first Apple store in the Tyson’s Corner Center Mall. This was where the company initially released their products to the public. A lot of people that day thought that the concept of having a store that sold exclusive Apple products would fail, they were wrong though. Today, there are more than 300 Apple Stores located worldwide.

Through the years the Apple Store has undergone several changes. The very first Apple Store introduced to us the “hot line” where a staff could use if they didn’t know the answer to a customer concern. This was later stopped and instead the staffs were trained to handle the concerns on the spot through the Genius Bar.

The initial Genius Bar didn’t need for customers to make an appointment. All you had to do was walk-in, writ your name on a paper and you will be given a number. When your number was called it was your turn. Today though, you would have to make an appointment.

The Apple Store today carries several excellent Apple products. The best selling devices on the list so far are the iPod, iPhone and iPad. The computer line such as the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air is also doing well.
