Facebook to Launch iPad App
It’s already a year after the iPad has been released and there are still no signs of a Facebook iPad app. When the Apple App Store for the iPhone was launched in July 2008, Facebook already had one ready for the smartphone.

According to sources, Facebook will unveil a free iPad app that has been enhanced for the Apple tablet. The social network’s web site is not optimized for the device. The company is said to have gone through several design changes and it is now in the final stages of testing.
An employee of Facebook said that the company’s founder Mark Zuckerberg has personally supervised in the design phase of the iPad app. They say that the app has been tailor-made for the iPad’s touchscreen interface.
Facebook designers and developers improved the Facebook Groups and Chat features for the iPad app. It also allows users to shoot and upload photos and videos straight from the tablet’s cameras. Users can view photos and videos in full screen.
Facebook users are frustrated with the site’s web interface that is not optimized for the iPad. There are third party developers who came out with Facebook apps for the iPad, which include iFace, My Pad, and Friendly.
