Microsoft Improves Bing’s Shopping Search Engine

Microsoft made a few changes to Bing’s Shopping search engine that will accelerate and make it easier to find products. Now filter options will also appear on the drop down list underneath the search box where people type in their searches. The changes will help shoppers refine their searches faster than before.

Bing Shopping Search EngineMicrosoft also added a new filter option in Bing that would let users find products that have their prices cut as well as another option to only show products from a specific store. Microsoft increased the range of Bing Shopping lists that users can make and share with their Facebook friends. In the past, users could only make a single Shopping list but now they can make multiple lists. Now users can also share their Shopping list to select friends on Facebook instead of sharing it with all their contacts.

Microsoft has been attempting to level the search engine market by investing a lot of money in Bing. It also inked some partnership deals, such as its custom integration with Facebook and its search deal with Yahoo.

But even with all its efforts, Google remains the top dog of search engines. In the United States, Google has a 65.1 percent share of the market. It is followed by Yahoo with 16.1 percent and Bing with 14.4 percent.
