Netflix Expects To Lose 600,000 Customers This Month

There’s nothing like curling up on the couch with some popcorn and snacks and watching that new movie everybody’s been talking about, or your favorite classic of all time. It is safe to say that everyone watches movie and that most people enjoy movies. There are all different types of movies, from comedy to horror and documentaries to love stories, so through this range there are movies for all people and all ages.

rent at redboxMovie theaters are always fun to go to, however leaving the house, buying tickets, buying popcorn, drinks, and candy can get pretty expensive these days! It is because of this that businesses like Netflix have done so well in this society. Through Netflix one can order movies online or from their television and these will be delivered to their house within a couple of days, or they can order them through live streaming and watch them right away. This cuts down on transportation and food costs and makes it more convenient and enjoyable movie experience without leaving the house, for a reasonable monthly rate.

However, things are not looking so good for Netflix right now. According to the Yahoo finance report, Netflix is expected to lose somewhere around 600,000 customers in September alone. This is due to customer satisfaction basically going down, because of the length of time it has been taking for movies to be delivered to customer’s homes. It isn’t so exciting to rent that new release, when by the time you get it, it isn’t new anymore. Also, apparently the movie choices available on live streaming are pretty disappointing, causing customers to feel as though they aren’t getting what they are paying for.

I have to say that I am disappointed to hear this about Netflix, as this business is so convenient and has the potential to do so much more. However, I’m guessing that other companies such as Redbox don’t feel so sorry for them, as I’m sure their business will increase within the next couple of months.
