Buy Your Very Own Facebook Girlfriend For $5
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, up pops something that lets your jaw drop. I am talking here about Fiverr user innocriss (a beautiful girl apparently) who for $5 will be your girlfriend on Facebook for week. I kid you not; for a small fee you can have a beautiful girl appear in your timeline, dropping innuendos, and generally making you look like Casanova.
The listing appears on the popular gigs website that lets people list things they’ll do for $5 and so far one person has clicked the ‘like’ button—fancy that? As gigs go though, I can’t see how this will be profitable for innocriss. Just a quick look at the numbers suggest she can only make a maximum $20 for the month. This points to the even larger problem for a pretty girl trying to pimp herself on Facebook—there’s only so much of you to go around.
Still, I am sure she’ll get a few buyers. There’s bound to be some soul on Facebook keen to give the appearance of being popular with the ‘pretty’ ladies. And you never know; romance could very well blossom out of the transaction. Sort of like a ‘Pretty Woman’ for the Facebook era. If that does happen, Richard Gere and Julia Roberts will be proud.
