Steve Jobs Tweeted 2.5 Million Times In Just 12 Hours
The iconic and legendary visionary behind Apple is gone. But just in case we forget the impact Steve Jobs had on the technology space, marketing analysis company Sysomos is laying the numbers bare in the form of ‘tweets’.
According to data collected in the wake of Jobs’ passing, the term ‘Steve Jobs’ was tweeted 2.5 million times in just 12 hours. The impact of Job’s death was evident across the whole of the internet with over 1,950 blog posts and over 3,900 news articles all reflecting on the great leader that was Steve Jobs. According to one Steve Jobs and Apple fan, “Jobs Took What Was Ugly in technology and made it Beautiful”. More poignant and true words couldn’t have been said about the man that revolutionized the way modern computing is perceived.
From the aesthetically pleasing Apple Computer to the iPod, Jobs made it possible for technology to be cool—he made you want to be a part of something, even if you weren’t sure what that something was. The now iconic duel between the PC and the Mac helped to define modern computing and made both companies billions in the process.
Job’s legacy is secure and history will not forget him that much is sure. The tweets have subsided some, but we’ll be talking about Steve Jobs for a very long time.
R.I.P. Steve.
