Many outside of the domain name selling business would not probably know who Mike Mann is, nor would they care. But when you delve deep into his achievements as a domainer you simply can’t help but take notice.
His latest sale is TherapeuticMassage.com which he sold for a whopping $50,000. Many are calling the sale nothing short of spectacular and it seems the sale is only adding to his growing legend. The domain was first registered in May 2003 and currently is listed to expire in May 2015. A quick visit to the domain shows that it resolves to Mike Mann’s domainmarket.com website so it’s not clear what the site looked like before it was put up for sale. At $50,000 though, I can’t see it being bought on the strength of the name only.
When most people uninitiated in the art of domain valuation, see a domain flipping for big numbers their first impression is that it must be easy, but seldom is this case. Most big name domain sales are done so on the strength of development. To Mike Mann’s credit though, his domains are usually sold with some marketing savvy. According to many sources, Mike Mann invests lots of money into promoting his sales across PPC and Social Media platforms.
At any rate the domain TherapeuticMassage.com is a keyword rich and business-rich domain name. The buyer therefore has made a sound investment.
