Top 4 Reasons Why You Should Not Buy The iPhone 4S
“What, are you crazy? I’ve been waiting for it for more than one year, I can’t just let it go, I must have the iPhone 4S, I must…” Yes, my dear Apple lover, don’t bet your money on the iPhone 4S if you truly want a new iPhone. I am not saying iPhone 4S is not a worthy gadget, but like all the “S” versions, it is evolutionary, rather than revolutionary.

Why You Shouldn’t Buy iPhone 4S: Top 4 Reasons
There are enough reasons why you should buy the iPhone 4S: the wonderful Siri, the know-it-all voice assistant, awesome gaming experience, uber-fast A5 processor, 8 MP camera with increased light, stabilized video, full HD recording, AirPlay Mirroring, Sprint, two antennas and it’s even selling unlocked! But, let’s not get carried away by these wonderful features and proceed forward on depicting the reasons why you shouldn’t buy it.
1. The Same Design
Obviously, the biggest disappointment of them all is the fact that iPhone 4S has the same design like iPhone 4 does. The majority of consumers and iPhone lovers were led to think by tech websites and even tech voices that the released iPhone will actually be very improved, both in terms of design and performance. iPhone 4S doesn’t let us down on the performance sector (not yet, at least) but it surely makes you wonder why didn’t they decide to improve the design? Previous reports were suggesting that a thinner model which iPhone 5 should have been couldn’t be released because the A5 was causing heating issues.
Apple needs to research further and come up with a solution for the A5 chip and for its successor, as well, as we hope that iPhone 5 will not have the A5 chip, but an improved version. The engineer at Apple need to figure out a way to reduce the heating if they want to come with a thinner, innovative iPhone.
Maybe that’s why the team at Apple decided to put the Siri feature in front, as their commander feature, so that everybody could be impressed by it and “forget” the fact that on the outside, iPhone 4S is still mundane and stagnant. Apple bought Siri back in April, 2010; it took them 1,5 years to improve it at its actual stage. Was Siri designed for iPhone 5 or Apple had it planned all long ago. Don’t forget that Apple’s fiercest competitor right now — Samsung, builds its smartphones with the Super AMOLED Plus display, which, if you had a chance to test, looks more vivid than the Retina Display. Samsung is smart enough to incorporate this wonderful display inside innovative corpuses that look more and more extraterrestrial. Is iPhone 4S like that?
2. Lack Of Improvement With The Battery
Have you actually checked all iPhone 4S features? Did you notice how the battery performs? Indeed, the A5 chip, the Siri assistant, the double-antenna system and all other features drain the battery rather fast. And you still can’t remove it from the iPhone. There isn’t yet an official information regarding iPhone’s battery lifespan, only rumours and speculation. One would think that iPhone’s battery is designed to “die” in a specific amount of time, enough for you to be forced to buy an improved model, dumping the old one.
Do you actually know that iPhone 4S has 100 less hours than iPhone 4 in standby mode? It has 3 more grammes, as well, maybe to cope with the extra work the battery has to do. The single advantage the battery has over the iPhone 4 is that it has an extra hour of talk time in 3G. It also has 9 hours of Wi-Fi Internet use, opposed to iPhone 4′s 10 hours. Was it realy that hard for Apple to improve the battery? Can we blame it all an these consuming features it has or should we wait for iPhone 5? I always that Apple would be the company that will dictate the new battery era. If they can release the iPhone 5 with serious battery improvements, this will be the moment when Apple will have again the leading voice in the smartphone market.
3. There Are So Many Worthy Competitors
Yes, we are talking about Android here, obviously. Ice Cream Sandwich launch is nearing and it will be a real clunch with the iOS 5. There are already rumors pointing towards the October 11 launch. This means that Google had “insiders” or they somehow obtained the information that Apple will launch iOS 5 and iCloud on 12 October. The question is: can Ice Cream Sandwich be that powerful and impressive software to counterattack the iOS 5? We know that Ice Cream Sandwich will be a version that will be universally compatible for smartphones and tablets alike, while previous versions were separated.
Google has bought Motorola, a company that has a huge database of patents and almost a century of history behind. Can you imagine how Google’s own smartphones will look like? Do you dare to keep the money in the pocket and let Android impress you? HTC and Samsung are constantly upgrading their products line and there is also the sleeping Sony Ericsson, which we expect to return and diversify even further the smartphones market.
4. High Price
Pre-orders for the iPhone 4S start today, and the price isn’t quite a permissive one. It’s a good thing, though, that Apple’s policy has changed and you can buy now unlocked phones, everywhere in the world, as it is both in GSM and CDMA networks now, you can switch between them. For the folks in United States, the iPhone 4S deal is the same as with previous models, plus, this time, Sprint users have the option to become iPhone devotees.
But the prices for the European consumers aren’t that welcoming, to be honest. We also have reports suggesting that Apple is spending around $200 for each iPhone 4S, so that leaves enough margin profit for the company. Sure, the high price is also due to the fact that we now have a 64 GB version, which is great, but, to be honest, who really needs that data on their phones?
