Can’t Make Call With Siri On iPhone 4S? Possible Solutions
Apple has introduced Siri service on its device and that’s the reason its iPhones are selling like hot cakes. People don’t seem to care whether it is a Beta product or not.
You know that all services tend to go down occasionally, whether it’s Gmail or Twitter or any other service. So Siri is no exception. Being totally new it may go down sometimes even for more than a few hours.
Siri is available in beta only on iPhone 4S and requires Internet access. So it may have certain issues like, “Siri says she can’t make phone calls“.
One of the major problems is that people have reported that they can’t make call with Siri, especially a local call in places like Cyprus for example. They say they have tried changing the international settings, removing the text, restoring, adding “0″ at the end or +1 at the beginning and even activating their iPhone. But nothing seemed to have worked.
Most certainly, users are going to blame Apple for failing to identify and communicate problems with its customers when such issues arise or when such network service failures happen. However, if you are a Verizon user and you can’t make call using Siri, you can follow these steps:
- Open the Phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
- When the system answer press 1 for “Program or activate your phone”
- Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating something like, “Settings updated.”
- Open the Task Manager and kill the Phone, Message, and Contacts Applications
- Wait a few minutes
If you are still broken, then reboot your phone.
