Facebook Camera App for iPhone and iPad Resembling The Instagram
It’s hardly been two months that Facebook announced its plan to buy off Instagram, the photo app company for $1 billion. There had been a lot of speculations regarding the news at the time. And today the company has released an iOS app that not just looks but also works exactly like Instagram.
According to a report by The New York Times, Facebook has announced a new standalone application for clicking and sharing photos on the social network. It is the Facebook Camera app for iPhone and iPod Touch. The app will enable the Facebook users to upload photos up to 2048 x 2048 resolution and to be able to choose images from around 15 filters before sending them straight to their photo albums on Facebook.
The press release from Facebook indicated the key features of the Facebook Camera App for iOS. With this amazing app you can:
- See all of your friend’s photos in one place as soon as launch the app.
- Swipe to see the entire album and tap on a particular photo to enlarge it.
- Share multiple images at the same time instead of one by one. All you need to do is tap on the check mark on each image that you wish to share and then tag your friends.
- Edit photos by cropping, rotating and adding filters to any particular image.
Facebook had been working on this app long before it though of acquiring Instagram. The Facebook Camera app is the second mobile app after the massaging app to be included among the Facebook features. Its main feature is that it is a 4.9 MB download available in English, compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 and also the fourth generation iPod Touch.
