Hulu YouTube Channel Hits 1 Billion Views
Only 36 Youtube channels had managed to surpass the 1 billion views mark until Hulu joined the elite club. The video streaming website became the 37th channel to cross the mark and by all accounts the folks over at Hulu are excited about the achievement.
Hulu started posting videos on its Huludotcom Youtube channel way back in 2008 and the purpose then was to drive traffic. Today of course Hulu is now established in its own right with millions of free and paid subscribers. Achieving 1 billion views on Youtubne is therefore tantamount to having your cake and eating it.
The Huludotcom channel boasts pretty good content and this is largely why it has been so popular among Youtubers. Users are able to view clips from Family Guy and other popular TV shows. The channel also has a repository of past Super Bowl ads; not to mention the hours and hours of teasers for original Hulu programming.
In many respects one can see how Youtube might have helped build the present user base that Hulu now has and in the world of corporate back scratching it certainly doesn’t get any better than this. Hulu no doubt will continue to leverage the billions of monthly uniques that Youtube gets and build its own brand even more.
