iOS 6 GM Release Date Set for September

AppleInsider reports, that in a privately obtained note from well-known investment consultant Kuo of KGI Securities, it has been speculated that iOS 6 Gold Master (the final version that will be let for OTA updates for all iPhones and iPads) could be out by September.

The iOS 6 release date is something we’ll get to know after the WWDC 2012 Event to start in a few hours. While we’ll be looking at first the iOS 6 preview and then the beta versions, the Gold Master will be the one which will finally reach the devices worldwide.

There have been many rumors being speculated that the iPhone 5 launch date would conveniently fall in October – much like last year’s iPhone 4S and the previous iPhone 4 which were released in October.

The iPhone 5 features, which include a larger display, a central FaceTime camera and quite a lot of other improvements to the hardware (a different A5.* version chip, better battery hopefully).

While we’ll be getting a complete glimpse of iOS 6 at the WWDC 2012, it would take quite a lot of time for users to get the actual version on their iPhones or iPads. That time is rumored to be September.

It looks quite feasible, considering the leaks and rumors of iOS 6 that we’ve heard so far, that Apple could really bring out the iOS 6 GM as much early as September.
