The promise of making huge sums of money with mobile gaming is alluring for developers but painfully elusive. This doesn’t stop many from trying though and although most fail at making any money from their games, some developers with good backing and sound strategies do actually strike gold. Rovio and to a lesser extent Zynga comes to mind

LEGO is currently working in collaboration with Warner Bros to produce a series of video games that is based on the Kingdom of Chima LEGO set. This way they intend to take part in the online game arena with a massive free to play online game but they also intend to go for the mobile platforms and even the Nintendo 3DS.

As technology advances, action movies are getting more and more impressive. This year we have been entertained with breath cutting action movies that heavily relied on 3D technologies. We do enjoy watching them anyway

When you first get a Windows computer there are some standard programs that you get in order to make your life easier—VLC Media Player is one of them. News that popular games publisher THQ is in serious trouble which has led to a bankruptcy filing has left many wondering if the gaming industry is falling off the cliff. There’s good reason for asking the asking the question for in a year when several major publishers have reported declining revenues, and more and more social gamers opting out of the Zynga led gaming movement, the obvious trend points to a significant decline in uptake from gamers.

As tech disruptors go Facebook has had its fair share of input into the usurping of markets. One need only to look at the fortunes of MySpace to see what damage can be wrought by a company that disrupts an industry. But Facebook it seems is reaffirming its penchant for disrupting and with several planned announcements like a search engine, it is clear that competitors have to watch out and stay keen if they are to escape the clutches of disruption
