Can you play Call of Duty mobile on smartphone with controller?
The first days after the release of Call of Duty: Mobile, it was possible to connect a controller to the smartphone via Bluetooth and thus plunge into battle. However, Activision deactivated this function shortly afterwards.
Since the update on November 23, 2019, it is again possible to play Call of Duty: Mobile with a controller on the smartphone. On iOS and Android the Sony Dual Shock 4 and Xbox One controller supports. However, you should first activate the controller support in the game menu before you connect a controller to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
The matchmaking has also been adapted to the controller-support so that controller users play only against other controller users.
This is how the microtransactions & currencies work in Call of Duty: Mobile
As befits a free-to-play game , Call of Duty: Mobile is of course full of microtransactions under the covers. The multiplayer shooter offers the following two currencies:
Credits : Earn yourselves through level ascents and ascents in the Battlepass. You can use it to buy weapon skins in the shop.
COD points : You can buy in the shop for real money, in order to buy weapon skins and loot boxes (so-called weapon boxes). The smallest package is 80 COD points for 1.49$.
The weapon skins from the shop sometimes bring additional perks – for example, slightly increased movement speed when starting the game.
You can also buy the Premium Battle Pass for 800 COD points (12.99$) , which – as in Fortnite or Apex Legends- unlocks additional rewards for level upgrades.
Optimal control settings in Call of Duty: Mobile
If you play Call of Duty: Mobile on your smartphone , you first have to get used to the controls with the touchscreen. You have the choice between two control modes: simple mode and advanced mode.
We recommend “Advanced Mode” because you have full control over your character. In simple mode you shoot automatically when an opponent crosses your crosshairs. However, this is usually rather annoying, as this suddenly warps your weapon. Continuous fire is also not possible. As soon as the enemy disappears from the field of view of the crosshairs, you stop shooting abruptly.
In addition, you should set the quick-throw grenade in the game options under “Basic”. So you throw the grenade at the push of a button and don’t equip it like a weapon. For a better overview on the battlefield, the camera field of view also sets the maximum value of 75.
How to win in Call of Duty: Mobile
Anyone who has ever played a Call of Duty part will feel right at home in the mobile branch. Among other things, there is the map selection, which is basically a best-of call of Dutys so far. Nuketown and the Firing Range from Black Ops, Raid and Hijacked from Black Ops 2 or Crossfire and Crash from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Are included.
Veterans have a clear advantage here, as they already know the best routes on the maps, but even newcomers can quickly find their way around on the small maps. Instead of rushing through the middle, look for ways on the edge of the map to stab your opponents in the back. Call of Duty: Mobile also offers a game mode with bots for practicing and getting to know the maps .
Be careful at the beginning to avoid being riveted by the snipers . The standard sniper – DL-Q33 – kills with a single body hit and is therefore currently probably the most powerful and most played weapon in the mobile shooter.
Also keep in mind that you will unlock new places in your loadouts with level increases. Check the equipment tab regularly to equip new perks, grenades and weapon attachments.
